Perkasie Borough manages trash and recycling collection for our residents. Commercial, institutional and educational establishments should have a contract with a hauler for trash AND recycling. Recycling is the law.

Curbside Trash Collection (Residents Only).
Refuse must be placed out before 7:00am, in a Borough disposal bag that is closed at the top, or in a fully closed trash toter. There will be no call backs for trash put out late.
Refuse includes garbage (when drained of liquids), paper, rags, leather, rubber, metals, metal foils, ceramics, crockery, plastics, and similar items normally produced by or originating from a private residence.

Bulk Trash Collection (Residents Only)
We will collect one large item per week as part of our regular trash collection. One bulk item may be placed out with your Borough trash bag or Borough toter on your regular trash day. Appliances are collected on Wednesdays and require a sticker which can be purchased at Borough Hall. Appliance collection must be scheduled in advance. We will not accept TVs or appliances that contain Freon.
Curbside Commingled Recycling Collection (For Residents Only)
FRIDAYS FOR ALL RESIDENTS: Plastic, glass, aluminum, tin may be combined in open bins with drainage holes near the bottom. NO PLASTIC BAGS. Please read the Trash and Recycling Rules & Regulations for more information.
EVERY THIRD WEDNESDAY FOR ALL RESIDENTS: Corrugated cardboard (flattened), newspaper, mixed paper should be broken down or flattened and tied. Please read the Trash and Recycling Rules & Regulations for more information.

Guide to Commercial, Institutional, and Municipal Recycling
Drop-Off Recycling Center (for use by Residents Only)
The Borough Recycling Center is located at 311 South Ninth Street. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm; closed Sundays and Holidays.
The Center is for use by Borough residents only. USE BY COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL OR EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Residents: take your resident hang tag when you use the center. Do not lend your hang tag to others. Perkasie Borough staff may ask for additional identification when you use the recycling center.
- NO COMMERCIAL WASTE WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO COMMERCIAL WASTE INCLUDES RESIDENTS WHO OWN A BUSINESS IN THE BOROUGH.
- Trash, bulky items, brush and leaves are not accepted at the Recycling Center.
- NO PLASTIC BAGS at the recycling drop off center.
