The Spine Skate Park

The Spine
Reopened after reconstruction in 2024 The Spine skate park is located in Lenape Park and houses new single coping double mini half pipe and three other skate lite ramps on newly paved asphalt pad.
The park has an active Skate Park Committee that oversees general concerns and events/programming.
The park is open normal park hours, sunrise to sunset. This park is free for all to enjoy. It is not supervised by an attendant.
History of Perkasie Skate Park
The Skate Park was installed in 2002 and has been used enthusiastically by the community over the years.
Early in 2023 the Borough started taking steps to address vandalism and investigating options for future renovation.
Fall of 2023 Perkasie Borough started a Skate Park Subcommittee that met monthly with representatives of the Borough and Park and Recreation Board to address the need to replace the mini half pipe and other minor repairs and/or changes.
December 2023 Perkasie Borough Council approved the use of ARPA funds to purchase a new single coping double mini half pipe as recommended by the Skate Park Subcommittee.
March 2024 Perkasie Borough Council approved the use of Park and Rec Fees in Lieu for a full mill and pave reconstruction of the asphalt pad.
Skate Park closed during June 2024 for renovations.
Skate Park reopened and renamed The Spine on July 7, 2024 during annual Pennridge Communtiy Day.
Skate Park Committee organized new and free Last Friday Skate Nights during the months of July through October 2024.
December 2024 Perkasie Borough Council approved Capital Funds in the 2025 Budget for the replacement of another ramp.
