Employment Opportunities
Perkasie Borough hires approximately 85 seasonal staff members each summer for the Menlo Aquatics Center.
- Applications will be accepted starting January 1 with interviews scheduled for early Spring.
- Staff are required to attend training one weekend in May prior to Memorial Day, multiple trainings throughout the season, and work an average of at least 20 hours per week including early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
- Prospective lifeguards that are not certified yet may still apply for a lifeguarding position by listing their upcoming certification course on the application as well as understanding that your final hiring is contingent on passing your lifeguarding course prior to the season. - Lifeguards must be 15 years of age by start of season
- Front Desk Attendants must be 15 years of age by start of season and have some prior experience in customer service related jobs or volunteer work
- MAC Attendants must be 14 years of age by start of season
- Swim Instructor Aides must be 14 years of age by start of season and have competitive swimming experience

Are you whistle worthy and interested in becoming a lifeguard?
Lifeguard skills go beyond yelling ‘no running’ at the pool. It teaches you lifelong emergency skills that can be used in a variety of situations and is a great resume builder and starting point for many young adults especially those looking into emergency and medical services!
- Reach out to your school counselor first! Many local high schools run American Red Cross certification courses are part of their in-school curriculum for a huge discount and class credit!

- Or Menlo Aquatics is hosting a American Red Cross Lifeguarding class this May through My Lifeguard Training Group LLC.
