“Perkasie Borough announced this week that the opening of the popular Menlo Aquatic Center will be delayed until at least July 1st. Originally due to open on Memorial Day, Monday May 25th, Borough Council is waiting on additional guidance from the PA Health Department about social distancing and other safety measures necessary because of the global Coronavirus pandemic, before making a decision. Council and staff will engage in further discussion about whether, and when, to open the Center at their next Borough Council meeting, scheduled for May 18th.
Perkasie Borough is in the process of refunding membership fees to anyone who has already purchased a membership. As and when a new opening date is announced, the Borough will publish a new fee schedule based on the new season length and the hours of operation.
“We want to thank all everyone for their patience during this time.” says Councilman Chuck Brooks. “We understand the Menlo Aquatic Center is like a summer home for many of our residents and we hope to be able to welcome everyone soon. Until then, stay healthy!”
Updates will be posted to www.perkasieborough.org and here on the Menlo Aquatics Center’s Facebook page. Questions about the Menlo Aquatic Center should be directed to the Parks and Recreation at email@example.com.”
