Perkasie Borough, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is currently seeking applications for the position of Police Chief. The Borough is located in the Pennridge section of Upper Bucks County, and is financially stable. The Chief manages a department of 17 FT sworn officers and 2 civilian employees; the policing jurisdiction includes the Borough of Sellersville. The Borough has a population of 8,500 with 2.5 square miles and a police budget of approximately $3.6 million. The Chief plans, organizes, supervises all functions of the Police Department to include patrol, investigations, and administration. The person must be community-focused and have the leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to maintain and advance the department’s standing as a progressive, professional, and innovative police agency. Applicants must possess the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, and have demonstrated, executive potential with at least fifteen years of law enforcement experience, including a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a command position. The candidate must be certified by MPOETC and possess a current Act 120 certification, or be capable of becoming certified.
