Thank you to everyone who participated in Perkasie’s 2020 Scarecrow Display Contest. Nine local non-profits received a share of prize money donated by a number of Perkasie’s generous local businesses. We are grateful to American Heritage Federal Credit Union, Penn Community Bank, Thrivent Financial, Grim, Biehn & Thatcher and the Perkasie Historical Society for making this contest, prizes and donations possible.

Questions about the Borough’s Scarecrow Display Contest to our Community Development Coordinator at events@perkasieborough.org.
Groups, families, individuals and businesses within the 18944 zip code area were invited to create Scarecrow Displays in one of 4 categories: Most Traditional, Most Creative, Most Impressive and “Positively Perkasie”. Entries accompanied by a photograph were due by October 15th, 2020.
GROUPS (for example, neighborhoods, civic organizations, schools, school clubs, church groups, non-profit organizations) are asked to nominate a 18944 non-profit organization to “win” a prize donation of $500. There are 4 donations, one in each category. Groups seeking a display space may contact events@perkasieborough.org to ask about a limited number of spots at a public location.
FAMILIES or INDIVIDUALS can enter to win a first prize of $100 or one of 2 runner up prizes of $50.
BUSINESSES are invited to create a display and send a photo for inclusion in our Facebook photo album (make sure your business name is advertised on your display). Winners will be selected through viewer “likes”. We are happy to work with our friends at the Perkasie Towne Improvement Association to include businesses across the 18944 zip code.
ALL SCARECROWS will be included in Perkasie’s self-guided SCARECROW TOUR from October 17th through October 31st.
