At the public meeting on December 5, the Perkasie Borough Council adopted the 2017 Preliminary Budget. The budget is available to the public for review until the December 19 Council meeting with a final budget is scheduled for adoption.
Thank you again to everyone who came out, who volunteered, and who worked on the team to make the 107th Annual Tree Lighting, which took place on Saturday December 3rd. Perkasie is truly honored to host America’s oldest Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The Borough of Perkasie is a member of American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP). One of the membership benefits is participation in this yearly scholarship program. The attached flyer provides information about the Lloyd B. Wright Scholarship program. The deadline to submit your information to the Borough is Friday, December 9th. The Borough will select one candidate to submit to AMP. AMP will be awarding four of these scholarships, and students from all of their member municipalities are eligible. Each scholarship is worth $2,000.
The Perkasie Skate Park will be closed for a period of time so that repairs can be made in the Park. The Park was vandalized over the holiday weekend, resulting in heavy damage to the storage shed. There are also several welds on the ramps that need to be repaired due to normal wear and tear. The Borough crews will work to get the repairs made as quickly as possible so it can once again be open for public access.
