We are still recovering from winter storm Jonas, the fifth biggest in Philadelphia history. The Borough will continue to plow roads in an effort to widen the passable areas. This is necessary to better ensure both emergency vehicles and school buses can get through to their intended locations and postal service is not interrupted. Also, it is important to widen the passing lanes so that melting snow can reach the storm drains. We realize that when we widen roads, driveways will need to be cleared again by residents. There is unfortunately no way to avoid this situation and we ask for your patience and that you assist any elderly neighbors if possible. Thank you.
