The Memorial Day Parade and Service will take place on Monday, May 28th, 2018.
Hundreds of Perkasie and Sellersville residents take to the streets on Memorial Day to observe and celebrate the true meaning of the Holiday.
The 2018 Pennridge Memorial Day Parade will take place at 9:00am on Monday May 28th.
The parade begins in the Shelly’s parking lot at 7th & Market Street and will move to Market Street, turn right on 4th Street, turn right on Chestnut Street, before turning left on 5th Street and proceeding to the War Memorial located at Menlo Park (the corner of 5th and Park Avenue).
The parade is followed by an hour long Memorial Service at the War Memorial in Menlo Park, which honors soldiers and veterans who have died. The speaker at this year’s service is Vietnam Veteran, Dan Fraley, Director of Bucks County Military Offices. The ceremony will begin at approximately 11:15 a.m.
The parade is a display of gratitude for our veterans who each ride in an antique car. The Perkasie and Sellersville fire departments also participate as well the Pennridge marching bands, the Legion Riders and several Boy Scout troops from both towns. The organizers and hosts of this year’s parade, the Perkasie-based Hartzell-Crouthamel Post #280, encourage youngsters and families to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade!
There is no rain date for this event, please look to the Borough’s Face Book page in the case of inclement weather.
