If a child has a flotation device on, the child must be within arms reach. A deep water proficiency test is administered every hour, on the hour, in the first lane of the competition pool. This skill test is for individuals under 12 years old who desire to use all features of the competition pool including the drop slide, rock wall, diving boards, or to swim unattended. Individuals who may choose to take this test must swim two laps (50 yards) without touching the bottom and tread water for two minutes.
