APPLY NOW FOR SUMMER EMPLOYMENT

Applications are being accepted for seasonal positions at the Menlo Aquatics Center for the 2017 season.  Interested persons may complete the form below and forward via email to: parkandrec@perkasieborough.org  or return by mail.

Openings for Lifeguards, Deck Attendants and Front Desk Attendants.  Rate of pay varies by position and relevant experience  All employees of the Menlo Aquatics Center must be certified in First Aid and CPR.  Applicants must be 15 years old by May 1. 2017.

*****There is also an opening for a lifeguard to work only  at the Second Street Pool.  Because of the shallow depth of that pool, a retired lifeguard is allowed at this facility.  This pool is open 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday-Fridays from June 19 through August 11. Applicants must still have a current certification in First Aid and CPR.*****

Council to Discuss Proposed Changes to Downtown Parking

The Perkasie Borough Council is inviting residents & business owners to the public meeting on February 6th beginning at 7pm at Borough Hall to discuss proposed changes to the downtown parking regulations. Residents & businesses in the downtown will be getting a letter in the mail soon. A copy of this mailing can be found here:

BOGUS EMAILS SENT TO BOROUGH RESIDENTS

The Borough has just been made aware of a number of emails sent to residents regarding a “New Invoice #1028-16. The emails have various senders with varying email addresses.

DO NOT OPEN THESE EMAILS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

PERKASIE BOROUGH DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO SEND EMAILS REGARDING BILLING.

Perkasie’s 107th Annual Tree Lighting



Thank you again to everyone who came out, who volunteered, and who worked on the team to make the 107th Annual Tree Lighting, which took place on Saturday December 3rd. Perkasie is truly honored to host America’s oldest Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Scholarship Available for Perkasie Student

The Borough of Perkasie is a member of American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP). One of the membership benefits is participation in this yearly scholarship program. The attached flyer provides information about the Lloyd B. Wright Scholarship program. The deadline to submit your information to the Borough is Friday, December 9th. The Borough will select one candidate to submit to AMP. AMP will be awarding four of these scholarships, and students from all of their member municipalities are eligible. Each scholarship is worth $2,000.

Perkasie Skate Park Closed for Repairs

The Perkasie Skate Park will be closed for a period of time so that repairs can be made in the Park. The Park was vandalized over the holiday weekend, resulting in heavy damage to the storage shed. There are also several welds on the ramps that need to be repaired due to normal wear and tear. The Borough crews will work to get the repairs made as quickly as possible so it can once again be open for public access.

THANKSGIVING SCHEDULE FOR BOROUGH

The Borough offices will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 in observance of Thanksgiving.  Borough offices will re-open on Monday, November 28 at 8:00 a.m.

Trash collections scheduled for Thursday, November 24 will be picked up on Monday, November 28.


Recyclables schedule for pick-up on Friday, November 25 will be picked up on Friday, December 2.
