Perkasie Borough is seeking residents that may be interested in volunteering to serve on the PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD. The Board meets monthly and advises Council on many issues associated with parks and recreation. The term is available through December 2019.

Perkasie Borough will host an ELECTRONIC WASTE RECYCLING EVENT from 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. on March 25th, 2017. Fee of $10 per car. Additional fees apply for certain items. NO FREON-FILLED ITEMS.

The market runs Saturdays from 9am – 12pm; the season opens on June 3 and runs for 22 weeks until October 29. Perkasie’s 107th Annual Tree Lighting, the oldest in the nation, is scheduled for December 3rd, 2016 from 3pm – 8pm. The event centers on 7th St. and Market St. in Perkasie’s old town.

Perkasie is delighted to host the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce as they bring their 2016 Excellence in Design Seminar and Tour to town this week.
The seminar and panel discussion is free to attend but registration is required: Thursday 22nd Sept at the Bucks County Community College, Upper Bucks Campus on Hillendale Road.
The tour costs $25 in advance: 1pm – 4pm on Sunday 25th September and concludes with light refreshments and a reception at Free Will Brewing.

Vendor applications are invited for the 15th annual Perkasie Fall Festival, scheduled for 12pm – 5pm on October 2nd, 2016.
This popular festival is located in Perkasie’s historic downtown and at nearby Menlo Park. A free trolley shuttle connects the two locations. Festival favorite activities include a FREE petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables, a trackless train, pumpkin decorating, 3 music stations, entertainers, a scarecrow contest, face painting, a large vendor fair and more. New this year is a large Holiday tent with Santa, Holiday crafts and music; applications from vendors with Holiday themed items are especially welcome; these are covered spaces.
Cost to vendors is $50 (no charge for non-profits) and a Certificate of Insurance, naming the Borough of Perkasie is required. Applications are welcome from art, craft, service and non-profit vendors at www.perkasierec.com.

Join us AUGUST 10TH for the last of the Perkasie Summer Concert Series as we host three young, local singer songwriters at the skate pavilion in Lenape Park from 7pm – 9pm. This is a great way to hear something new, and to support local music!
Shannon Rupp, Chronic Wolf and Aaron David & The Wise Owls will play a mix of original and well-known songs.

The departments of Conservation and Natural Resources and Environmental Protection today have announced that grants are being made available to assist landowners with planting trees along streams in Pennsylvania to improve water quality. Applications close September 15th.
