The departments of Conservation and Natural Resources and Environmental Protection today have announced that grants are being made available to assist landowners with planting trees along streams in Pennsylvania to improve water quality. Applications close September 15th.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
The Perkasie Police Department encourages residents in Perkasie & Sellersville Boroughs to spend the evening outside & visit with neighbors. Officers will be out in the community and look forward to meeting as many of our residents as possible. We also ask that you turn on your porch lights at 6:00 p.m. to show your support for crime prevention and drug abuse awareness.

Perkasie Borough is seeking residents that may be interested in volunteering to serve as an alternate on the Perkasie Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB). The Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 PM. As an alternate, an appointed resident would stand in for ZHB members that might be unable to attend hearings. The ZHB perform an important function in reviewing appeals and variances to the Borough Zoning Ordinance.
The term is for an unexpired three year term through December 2017.

Sealed proposals for Perkasie Borough Bid Proposal #2016-05 will be received by the Borough of Perkasie until 10:00AM on July 29, 2016 for the Menlo Aquatics Center TOT SWIMMING POOL RESURFACING. The location of the pool is 425 Arthur Avenue, Perkasie, PA. All bids should be submitted on-line to www.pennbid.net The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and services required for the demolition and installation of all items of work specified in the bid documents. This includes removal of the existing plaster finish, installation of ceramic tile to cover the zero entry of the tot pool (approximately 171 square feet), and the application of Diamond Brite, or equivalent, to the interior of the pool including the steps. Contractors may inspect the pool during normal operating hours of the Menlo Aquatics Center.

In response to the resignation of Borough Council member Barbara Krantz on July 5, the Perkasie Borough Council is seeking residents of the third ward interested in being considered for appointment to the Perkasie Borough Council. The term is available through December 31, 2017. To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must be a registered voter residing in the third ward. Applications will be received up until July 28, 2016. Appointment will be made at the Perkasie Borough Council meeting on August 1, 2016 which begins at 7:00 PM.
